Good Morning, Vietnam! Oh my Buddha! We passed the pass in the bus.

In the morning, there were the Rooster, the Dawn and family of Vietnamese again. We ate our banana pancakes and waited for the bus. That big one, with A/C and storage room for luggage  in the back. A chicken bus kinda vehicle arrived, but at least some cold air was circulating there to some degree. As a guide we had a chinese-vietnamese very enthusiastic guy, he made some jokes and was able to articulate almost understandably. First stop was by an old wooden bridge and a market next to it. The Meat, sold there was not alive anymore, but the fish and seafood the more. Oh, well, the geese were alive töö. Unfortunately.

Next destination Long Ca beach. On the way  there we took some pictures of the water buffalos cooling down in the river and in a blue lagoon without Brooke Shields however. Checked out the lovely beach and started our way through Hai Van pass which meant a lot of breathtaking views and pressure change due to heights that caused me to scrape my hair conditioner later from all over the bag. We also made a stop, which was nothing in compare to the views from bus window earlier.

When we booked the road tour, Lam emphasized that lunch was not included in the price. They must have liked us tho, because after the pass the bus stopped, our guide ran into store and brought everyone a typical vietnamese sandwich. Either meat or eggs in a crunchy outside and soft inside baguette. Plenty of water was offered too.  Last stop before Hoi An was the Marble Mountain. Some over 200 steep steps and you had several beautiful temples and war time caves to admire. Along with some incredible views. 15-20 minutes later we stood in front of our pre-booked accommodation, where it turned out that we were the only guests that night. The owner very skillfully sent us to one of her cousin's restaurant that was supposed to have great food with cheap prices. None of which turned out to be true, so we will eat someplace else from now on. Before our late lunch we managed to go to the beach and have a cooling swim. Sogood! Short nap after the mentioned lunch and we went out to have some fruits for dinner. Since we have a fridge in our room and can use the kitchen downstairs and everyone is responsible for their own breakfast and the dear guests will not be catered with all the delicacies, we stopped in few stores and a fruit stand and made outr way back to the hotel carrying jogurt, milk, coffe, mangoes and beers. There was almost a fight happening when buying mangoes. First between us and them and later among themselves. First it wasn't clear to them, how much the change should be and then, where to change the 50.000 dong bill (a bit less than 2 euros). Eventually everything worked and the mangoes are in our fridge.
