Our day started with a bang – or more like a rumble in Scott's stomach. Was it the spicy Mexican dinner from last night, or did Scott's decision to motorbike all day without covering his head lead to an unexpected morning adventure? We'll never know for sure, but let's just say the bathroom saw more action than a Hollywood blockbuster.
Ready to set sail to the neighboring island, we were hit with the news – the ferry was cancelled. The everloving wife in me decided to book us a private boat because nothing says romance like navigating choppy seas with a tummy on the edge.
Our private boat adventure began, and the sea decided to throw us a little dance party. With the waves playing a salsa rhythm, our tiny boat waltzed its way to the next island. Scott clung to the side, praying for calmer seas, while I, being the determined map reader kept my eyes on Google Map and the still long distance between us and the shore.
Arriving at the island, we embarked on a mission – find the elusive resort guy who was supposed to pick us up. After 15 minutes of island hide-and-seek, I spotted him. A few more minutes on another boat, and we finally reached our beachside haven. The bungalow's bed faces the ocean – clearly a room with a view!
Scott decided to turn his morning ordeal into an all-day siesta. While he snored away, I dipped in and out of the crystal-clear waters. It's tough being the caretaker of a napping adventurer, but someone has to do it.
Dinner called, Scott got up and we ventured to a nearby BBQ place. To our delight, it turned out to be a culinary oasis. For half the money, we devoured four times the deliciousness compared to our previous BBQ night.
